The Day When I Started Praying for You.

The Day When I Started Praying for You

You are my favorite incomplete wish,
one that God chose not to fulfill.
Every day, I keep you in my personal prayers,
but they don’t seem to work.

One fine day, I played a prank on you,
telling you I got a marriage proposal—
just to hear you say, "No, don’t accept it, because I love you."
But you didn’t.

Instead, when I told you I liked you,
you simply said no.
Yet, even today, I keep you in my prayers.

Those calls and chats—
all worthless now.
Innocent me, believing that one day,
you would be the one to propose.
But my predictions were wrong.

I still visit your profile,
just to make sure you're still mine in some way.
I know I made the mistake—
falling in love with you,
while you kept saying, "We are just friends, nothing else."

Sometimes, it hurts when memories flash back.
Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night,
hoping to see your message.
I gaze at the moon and stars,
whispering "I love you,"
hoping these words will find their way to you.

Some days feel empty for no reason,
moods shifting without warning.
But still, I hope—
that one day, you’ll find your way toward me.
