The ART of Not Being Someone’s Painkiller
"The ART of Not Being Someone’s. Painkiller"
They treat you like you’re close,
But in reality, they play with your feelings and emotions
Until they’ve used you for their gain.
Once they’re done, you become the second option —
Or worse, the so-called backup plan.
They spread rumors about your life,
Whispers of wrongs you never did or even heard of.
And when no one else helps them because of their nature,
They come running to you —
And you, like a painkiller,
Give them relief in their difficult moments.
Being a painkiller isn’t easy for soft-hearted people.
Because when you’re in pain,
No one becomes your painkiller.
They paint you as the villain of the story,
But the real villain doesn’t even realize —
That being a painkiller will kill you one day.
Don’t play the role of a painkiller.
Play your role only where it’s necessary.
Don’t waste your healing on those
Who never wished you well.
Or one day,
You’ll have to consume your own painkillers
To forget the betrayal and the pain.
