Don't Be Someone’s Sukka Puri
Don't Be Someone's Sukka Puri
On every weekend, I go out with my cousins to hang out.
We head to our favorite shop for pani puri or sev puri —
Everyone picks according to their taste buds.
I'm not a big fan of pani puri, so I stick with sev puri.
But I've noticed a pattern —
After the spicy pani puri, they all say,
"Bhaiya, ek sukka puri!"
Instead of sweet pani puri or more sev puri,
They ask for that one simple sukka puri —
A savior for their burning taste buds.
That poor sukka puri —
She doesn't know the difference between good and bad,
She just helps everyone in their difficult moments.
But after that relief, no one wants an entire plate of sukka puri.
Why?
Because she’s only remembered when the spice hits hard —
Nothing more.
Sometimes, we become like sukka puri —
Used and forgotten once the trouble fades.
A temporary fix, nothing more.
Know your worth.
Choose your people wisely,
So you don’t end up regretting the spice of someone else’s life.
