Can I be Your Venus?
Can I Be Your Venus?
Once in my life, I want to be someone’s Venus.
When Venus appears in the sky, the moon seems to be the happiest in the entire universe—as if the whole solar system is dancing with joy.
The previous night, both lovers appeared in the sky, and I was busy admiring my moon—the moon who is never going to be mine. Yet, silly me, I still hold on to the hope that someday I will get the chance to shine beside my moon.
I want to play the role of Venus in his life—the bright, shining Venus that helps the moon shine a little brighter during his difficult times. The Venus that stays close when his light begins to fade, bringing warmth and comfort to his darkest moments.
So, make me your Venus.
Perhaps the moon and Venus were there to remind me that some things are not meant to be rushed. Sometimes, all we can do is keep hoping and trust the universe’s process.
Oh, my dear Moon,
be my peace in the chaos,
for I have already suffered so much without you.
I promise to shine alongside you,
high above the sky,
and let everyone admire us—
two lovers of the precious solar system captured through their lenses.
Let us shine together
and give hope to all the hopeless romantics on Earth.
Let the universe witness
the manifestation I made at 11:11,
the wish I once whispered to the stars.
Let us be each other’s—
through every season,
through every darkness and every light,
until our last breath.
