Good Friday: Journey of Loyalty to Betrayal
Good Friday: Journey of Loyalty to
Betrayal
Judas, the good friend of Jesus,
Betrayed Him for thirty silver coins.
Still, nobody knows what he did with those thirty coins.
Don’t be like Judas in anyone’s life.
Some people aren't selling you for silver,
But they treat you so badly
That you feel guilty to even step out of your own house.
Especially your neighbors—
They speak words sharp like the nails
That hung Jesus on the cross.
Strange, isn’t it?
Yes, of course.
That heavy cross,
The crown full of thorns,
Those infectious nails—
And yes,
The harmful words of the crowd.
Jesus was loyal at all times,
Yet He was betrayed by His own people—
The same ones who stood in the crowd
Watching Him on the cross,
Shouting the same hurtful words.
Some people can’t handle seeing others grow.
They choke on your success
And spit out false rumors
To poison your peace.
But hating someone doesn’t mean
You must feed the world with lies.
No one sleeps hungry—
Because our Lord Jesus,
Who died on the cross for our sins,
Fulfills every need.
God, please heal all those
Who are suffering from the pain
Of neighbor’s taunts and rumors.
The ART of not being like JUDAS in anyone’s life.
