Holy Saturday: The ART of WAITING
Holy Saturday: The Art of WAITING
Those forty days were not easy to survive
On the cross—
But Jesus did it.
The great so-called Judas, the betrayer,
Was the secret agent of the corrupt leaders
Who sold our beloved Jesus
For just thirty silver coins.
In the same way,
Our beloved friends and relatives
Have betrayed us—
In both known and unknown ways.
Our loved ones say,
"There is no future in you,"
And they leave us behind.
But real love
Was shown on Good Friday,
When Jesus sacrificed His life
For all of us.
Still, mutual understanding
Can heal even the deepest misunderstandings.
And at last,
The final day arrives—
Holy Saturday—
The true art of waiting
For Jesus to rise from the dead.
Our Holy Mary waits
With silent hope,
Eager to see her Son
Come back to life.
In the pandemic,
Many mothers lost their sons and daughters.
Jesus—
Can they come back one day?
Even one-sided lovers
Are waiting
For their love to return.
The art of waiting
Is not at all easy
For anyone.
Oh dear beloved Jesus,
As You rise from the dead
On Easter Sunday—
Please fill many hearts
With hope,
With love,
And fulfill their deepest wishes.
