Your presence was the most expensive gift for me,

But you gave me a present I never asked for.

You just asked my favourite colour

And handed me a beautiful grey smartwatch.

So many of your memories are attached to it.

You left me behind,

But that watch is still hanging on the wall—

Because I’ve stopped wearing it on my wrist.

That watch still shows the same time,

The time when you left me.

You have changed,

But the time on the watch will never change.

I never forget to look at it.

The heart rate on the watch still keeps beeping the same.

I hope the day will come

When it stops showing the time—

Just like you disappeared from my life.

One day…

The heart rate on the watch,

will stop beeping.
