Can I Order Cutting Chai?

           Can I Order Cutting Chai?

Finally, it's that time of the season when I can order a cutting chai.

The weather suddenly turned romantic. The blue sky disappeared, replaced by clouds—the colour I love the most. I found myself blushing a little that day because I was thinking about you.

The cool breeze touched my skin as if it were you. The weather made me feel as though you were standing right beside me. Then, without warning, it began to rain. It rained ever so gently, almost romantically. Every raindrop reminded me of your presence.

My head knew you weren't there with me, but who could explain your absence to my heart?

My heart whispered, "Order two cups of cutting chai—for both of us." My head refused.

I find your presence in every little thing that crosses my path. The romantic weather wasn't really meant for me. Still, I ordered two cups of cutting chai.

But who would drink the second cup?

I finished mine and quietly walked away.

Yet, somewhere inside my heart, an empty table remains reserved for you—and for no one else.
I'm not a big fan of cutting chai, but for you, I could drink three more cups while simply staring at you.
The rain feels so special to me that, for a little while, I almost forget the thoughts that quietly kill me from within.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of the monsoon. But when it rains, it feels so special because it gives life to my illusionary world—a world where you exist more vividly than reality itself.

Sometimes, I let myself get drenched because, in my imagination, it means I can receive a warm hug from you.

Then I return home, and Mom comes running with a towel. That simple gesture comforts my heart too. It reminds me that love exists in many forms.

Maybe someday you'll step out of my imagination and into reality. We'll eat hot corn, steaming momos, crispy pakodas, and sip cutting chai together while the rain keeps us company.

Meet me before the monsoon ends, so we can take a few pictures together and upload them to Pexels. Until then, I'll keep saving a place for you beside me whenever it rains.
