Plural of Woman...

                 Plural of Woman....
She is not less in competition with men.
She is  completely a different personality —
flexing her high-pointed heels,
wearing nude shades of lipstick,
minimal makeup,
straight or curly hair,
and yes…
the roar of a lioness she carries within,
like an inbuilt strength.
She is nothing but a WOMAN.
She plays important roles —
a daughter,
a sister,
a wife,
and at last, a grandmother.
She can cook,
she can dance,
she can drive —
and there are countless things
she can do on her own.
She carries a baby
within her precious womb
for nine months.
She is not less than a man.
She can fly high in the sky
because she knows —
the sky belongs to no one.
Be courageous enough to soar.
She is not just made to cook
and give birth.
She can do all possible things
without help.
She can handle her dupatta
as gracefully as she handles
her family and her office work.
She can board the 10:58 a.m. Andheri local in a saree, with her pallu flowing in the wind.
She can proudly flaunt
the bindi on her forehead
and the sindoor in her hair.
On this special occasion of International Women’s Day,
I want to say —
Darling,
you are the one
who can turn all the impossible
into possible.
Do not stop
when life gives you sorrows.
Throw stones at those sorrows —
because tables do turn.
Her “cham-cham” sound of anklets
as she walks with confidence.
Her nose pin, her piercings,
the fragrance of her freshly clipped gajra,
and the colourful bangles she wears—
all define her beauty.
Dear Men,
Save her like the moon and stars in the galaxy,
Like a diamond in an oyster,
Like the pimples on your face that you always notice.
She is not a cow in a cowshed —
She is a lioness,
The queen of the jungle,
Who can roar
When she can no longer bear
Your insult.
Celebrating old and young ladies on their special day may you'll be successful in your lives with lots of happiness and joy... Wishing everyone Happy Women’s Day...
