Digital Waiting...
Digital Waiting
After a long, tiring day,
every human needs someone to talk to.
Whether it's your favorite person,
or the one you trust the most—
that one call feels like
a warm and cool hug
you’ve craved all day.
You wait for the day to end,
just to see a simple message:
"Hey! Can I call you?"
With tired eyes
and a cravy soul,
I reply, "Yes."
Suddenly, it doesn’t feel like a call.
It feels like they’re right in front of you,
talking,
laughing,
listening.
You imagine their presence,
their voice, their smell—
as if they’re sitting beside you.
You share everything.
You laugh,
you giggle,
and sometimes you cry...
because they’re not really there.
They’re overseas.
A long-distance friend.
A heart nearby,
but a body far away.
The call continues.
He’s sleepy—
yet he tells jokes,
just to hear me laugh.
And finally,
after more than an hour,
we softly say goodbye,
and the call ends.
But after the call,
a soft sadness,
because a few things were left unspoken.
I'm still waiting for that day
when I can finally say those words
along with bye...
I hope—
one day, waiting
for my favorite person's call
will be worth it.
That finally,
I’ll be in his arms,
calling him my second home,
after long tiring day
the only place
where I’ll ever feel truly safe.
